After 30 years as an Academic Consultant, Professor Philip Murray retires in September 2019.
To celebrate his contribution to Eyes, Inflammation and all that Jazz, this Festschrift symposium will update and educate participants in the basic science, clinical presentations, diagnosis, complications and management of inflammatory eye disease (uveitis, scleritis, ocular surface inflammation). We also reflect on the messages we can learn from the past and how these can shape the future.
In recognition of Phil’s enormous contribution to medical education (not just in uveitis, but more generally for ophthalmology, the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, Royal College of Physicians, and University-based medical education), the past, present and future of medical education will also be explored.
Speakers have been chosen not only for the level of expertise they offer but for their association with Phil Murray’s career.
The Programme includes trainee case presentations (The Roper-Hall Eye Foundation Medal Competition) and The Academic Unit of Ophthalmology Alumni’s eponymous lecture, the Sir Adrian Cadbury Lecture.
